Job Brief
A Management Consulting Consultant - Senior Consultant is responsible for providing advanced analytical support, designing strategic solutions, and leading workstreams within consulting engagements. They work closely with clients to understand their needs, conduct in-depth research, and develop actionable recommendations. Consultant - Senior Consultants often serve as the primary contact for day-to-day client interactions, manage junior team members, and support managers in delivering high-quality project outcomes. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, industry knowledge, and the ability to translate complex data into practical solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Research and Industry Analysis: Conduct market research, benchmarking, and competitive analysis to provide clients with industry insights.
- Lead Workstreams: Oversee specific project workstreams, ensuring high-quality deliverables and alignment with overall project goals.
- Develop Strategic Recommendations: Analyze client challenges and create tailored recommendations that drive business improvement.
- Workstream Ownership: take ownership of end-to-end project workstreams.
- Quality Assurance: Review the work of junior consultants to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project standards.
- Post Project Reviewing: Conduct post-project reviews capturing the lessons learned, project weaknesses and propose process improvement methodologies.
- Prepare Reports and Presentations: Develop detailed reports, presentations, and visualizations that summarize findings and recommendations for clients.
- Client Interaction: Serve as the main point of contact for day-to-day client communication, addressing their questions and providing updates.
- Facilitate Workshops: Assist in planning and facilitating workshops and client meetings to gather requirements and present solutions.
- Support Managers: Assist managers and senior managers with project planning, risk management, and ensuring projects stay on track.
- Mentor Junior Consultants: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants, helping them develop their skills and improve their analytical capabilities.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree: Typically required in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or related fields.
- Master’s Degree (Preferred): Master’s in Management, Strategy, or related field, often preferred for deeper business insights.
Job Experience/Qualifications
- 4-6 Years of Consulting Experience: Proven experience in management consulting or a relevant field, with a track record of delivering successful projects.
- Client Management Experience: Experience in managing day-to-day client interactions and addressing their needs effectively.
- Data Analysis: Strong experience in analyzing complex data sets, conducting research, and developing actionable insights.
- Project Involvement: Experience in supporting project delivery, including planning, managing workstreams, and contributing to strategic discussions.
- Industry Knowledge: Exposure to key industries.
